Today has been a grand day, one of recovery and rest from a superior week of experiencing and teaching entrepreneurship so I am excited and filled with the joy of anticipation at the promise of more joy in the week and month beginning tomorrow.
Today I got so engrossed in a state of concentration and imagination for an upcoming video, that I lost track of the time. This was pretty important since I was relaxing in the jacuzzi, a place I frequent for prayer, meditation, inspiration, focused thought, and reflection. Staying too long in the Jacuzzi always has consequences.
While "lost in thought" I was jolted to consciousness by the urgent chirping of a bird in the tree above the jacuzzi. My first thought was that I had never seen a bird there before, then I noticed the urgency, then the bird appeared to be looking down at me and chirping at me. When I "allowed" my mind to imagine what message the bird might be delivering as a messenger, I immediately got the thought to get out of the wonderfully comfortably heated water and go to our home because my wife had returned. Well, I hurried and as I came up the steps to our door, there she was unlocking the door! I was overcome with awe and reverence for the only One that can speak through a silly bird!
Then I realized that I was light-headed and that I needed to get in the shower to cool off immediately. I literally got down on my knees in the shower and thanked the One because the message was to get me out of the hot water immediately, not simply because my wife was home.
Wisdom is the application of knowledge, principles, universal laws, and spiritual power. Listening to a silly bird doesn't seem like an application, but ALWAYS being open to the possibilities of a message coming from the Unlimited Wisdom in any form is evidence that once in a while I can be wise.
